Right to question the religion

India is a free democratic country. The constitution has given some fundamental rights to every citizen living on its land. Two of the most important rights among the list fundamental rights are Right to religion and freedom of expression. That means you can follow any religion of your choice and you can freely express your religious views to the public. Indians and religious groups in India utilitise this freedom to no end. Every religion have some or the other form of excessive large gatherings like Bramhotsavams, suvaartha preachings, mass gatherings in mosques etc. They use all forms of devices from loudspeakers to print and electronic media dedicated only to their religious preachings,to spread wierd superstitions and to promote their business. They can do it because constitution has given them right to do so.All is well till here. But there's another side of story which often goes unheard. i.e, Right to religion also gives right to an individual to abstain from any religion/not to follow any religion.
Freedom of expression not only gives right to express religious views, but it also gives any individual his/her right to criticize views of any faith.
This subtle yet very prominent underlying detail in the Fundamental rights is of utmost importance in today's India. It's duty of every Individual to know this and use against any form of prejudice, religious extremism and fascism. We are seeing monotonic uprise of intolerance in our country, especially from past 5-6 years. Religious groups such as VHP, RSS,Muslim personal law board etc are behaving beyond their limits when they find something even remotely offensive against their religious beliefs.Recent outrage against Tanisq ad by Hindu extremist groups, Bangalore riots by Muslims over some offensive Facebook post,Christian missionary school management beating a boy because he said evolution is true and many more to quote. These are just tip of an iceberg to what will happen in future. It's a worrying and troublesome sign for secular fabric of our society. While religions enjoy all forms of benefits and develop their business using Fundamental rights, they're hell bent on snatching away the same fundamental rights from others who criticize their religion. Basically they're big babies who use the tag "They're hurting my religious sentiments" as a victim card
At the end of the day I only wish to say one thing. If you don't want your faith to be criticized, keep it in your mind like you keep your genitals inside undergarments. No one will interfere with you. But if you display it in public domain saying I have the best private organ in the entire world, people will criticize it and you'll be judged. It might be the most divine thing in the world for you(I'm talking about faith),but for others it's not. Don't be a baby. Take offense..
